Welcome to CIVIC ......

Cooperation and Innovation in Citizenship (CIVIC) is a non-partisan organization at Tufts University that serves as a space for meaningful discourse on campus and surrounding communities.

We strive for CIVIC to be the central forum for political dialogue at Tufts. Our mission is to inspire broader civic engagement by giving individuals the tools to participate in productive conversation and bridge political differences.

We meet every Monday at 7PM in the Campus Center (220, 219)

Our weekly discussions on political topics and current events foster an environment where individuals learn to engage with views different from their own.

CIVIC consistently challenges people to reevaluate their ideologies, reframe their arguments, and respectfully disagree with their peers.

Beyond Discussion

While weekly meetings make up the core of CIVIC, we also host larger events each semester, such as moderated debates between political groups on campus or workshops to encourage students to get more politically involved.

CIVIC enjoys support from the Tufts Community Union and the Jonathan M. Tisch College for Civic Life.
